Anyone recomend a decent rolling road tuner for a pinto engine in the StAffordshire. area? Also a ball park idea of cost?

Thanks in advance.

Depends where you are, I had mine mapped at Mikeanics in Congleton. He's got a good reputation for Carb mapping especially bike carbs. Seemed to do a good job on mine tbh,I left it there overnight so he could do the cold start mapping too, if I remember correctly it was about £200.

If you are in the West Midlands end of Staffordshire, you could try Aldon Automotive in Brierley Hill. I haven't done business with them personally, but they've been around for quite a long time and offer rolling road tuning services.

I have used Aldon a few times. Good service.

HiTec are in Cradley Heath too - still a bit of jaunt, but similar to Aldon

Not used them personally though...

Hi tec is run by Mick Mobberley a real nice guy who knows his Webers and clockwork distributors but do not let him loose on your ECU.  He had 3 goes at mine and it was worse each time.  Ended up getting it remapped elsewhere.

Definatly not Hitec. John Yeomans in Whitchurch is the man.

I had my pinto rolling roaded at Hi tech after the latest  rebuild. He seems to know his pintos and i would certainly recommend them.

It's now running better than it ever did :t-up:
