Suggestion 1.

I stayed the village hotel at my last visit.....

Village Hotel

It was in the middle of a business park, so you couldn't walk to a pub.

Usually stay either in the Premier Inn on the quayside, or the Jurys Inn nearby. Both have good access to main roads and are close to purveyors of food and beer.

Jesmond is quite classy has loads of hotels all along one main strip, most feature outdoor boozing areas so can just do a crawl along all the bars

Plenty of hotels on the Quayside - most popular is the premier inn beside the Tyne Bridge, a couple of Travelodges.  More expensive ones are the Copthorne, Malmaison and the Hilton (gateshead side of the river).   Jesmond Road - if you into the student life.  Further out of the town is the Novatel and within falling distance of the Metro.  Village hotel is out on a retail park - too far out of it.  City centre hotels include the Station Hotel, County Thistle, Niche Hotel and Market street police station???

Is that enough??

whats parking like near the crown court, quayside ??

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the Malmaison is right next to the crown courts, and last time I stopped there it included parking in a multi-story opposite.
