originalgeezer Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Just got back to this, sorry...... If I require a QR Boss, RTQ 72 - which size slug do I require? Also, does this "slug" fit over the column and then welded in place? or Does it require any Machine work? As finding someone suitable to weld/ machine is my hardest task......other than take it to the factory Quote
Steven (WE51STE) Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Hi Originalgeezer, If you are using the standard Westfield Supplied Upper Steering Column this is of an Allegro ( I'm lead to believe) you will require the 3/4" slug. This will mean you will require a RTQ2 ( 3 holes drilled) RTQ72 (6 holes Drilled) or RTQ93 (No holes drilled) depending upon your steering wheel. You will need to have the slug welded onto your steering column. This is best done by putting a sleeve over the joint and welding the sleeve - Although I'm no welder. It should not require any machine work. Regards, Steve Quote
