bought a 91 wsei 2.1 pinto end of last summer (best car i have ever driven)done a complete rebuild shes back on her wheels loom in which i got from allen at premier looms

2weeks its been various mounts arrive no joy

missus texd me at work today its here looked the same in picture (carn't measure for the life of me)wrong again

help don't want a website or phone number want somewhere i can go an buy 1 and match it show shop not bother'd

need it on road end of month

Are We talking Type 9 Gearbox in a Narrow body here   ???

Also when you say it doesn't fit, How do you mean    ???

the mount ive just got is a Quintal hazel

fits box but like all sierra granada cortina mounts 2 tall an wide without altering car

qh em680 looks about right from the picture Ive found on 'tinterweb but there's no dimensions so the image could be misleading.

Did you change the gearbox in this rebuild or are you just replacing the mount?  You'll be lucky to find a motor factors that would have one on the shelf given the age of the car theyre from but, as mentioned, WF or caterham will have exactly what you need.

If you've changed gearboxes then there's every possibility that the mount location will have moved which will bring with it a (very minor) chassis mod.

Yep, if it was a 4spd and now a type 9 you will need different location which may partly explain your problem. Lins too far for me to pop over (South Coast :D) ) but defo check mounting location is correct then get the right mounts from WF explaining that it's for a Type 9 into a Narrow.

A few of us who changed from MT75 to a Type 9 box  had the same problem

You need to lower the chassis plate where the gearbox rear mount fits by about 25 mm or so  :t-up:

havn't changed a thing on rebuild just replaced all the parts its a type9 box with trick inners an quick shift

took the car 2 bits replaced all the rose joints balljoints

disc's pads shoes cylinders cables loom

cars sat their ready to roll just needs engine an box fitting when i stripped the car i was in heaven.

couldn't find anything 2 improve wish i had half the stuff when i was doing brisca f2

So if its had a type 9 in previous there should be no probs , wessy factory can supply the correct mount  :t-up:
