Porkie Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 My little yellow bathtub is now mechanically in VERY VERY fine fettle thanks to lots and lots of new bits and ridiculous amounts of hardwork by Polly X... BUT its now looking a bit tatty bodywise with lots of holes and cracks that I would like to tidy up as I have fallen head over heels in love with the little yellow peril. Can anyone recommend somewhere that can give it a spruce up on the cheap somewhere in Essex? doesn't have to be a perfect job at all to be honest as I am no bufty and its going to be getting a sound pasting on tracks mainly. Main job would be sorting the holes and cracks on the scuttle where is used to have a windscreen fitted and now has an aeroscreen... and filling a few holes in the back from old spare wheel fitment Thanks in advance Quote
slippy Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Be tempted to fill and do the prep myself and get somebody to blow it over that or a few tatical go faster stickerswould do the job Quote
Porkie Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 If you knew me... you would NOT being saying that. I am WITHOUT any shadow of a doubt the most hamfisted and mechanically inept person ever to own a kitcar in the history of the known universe. I can barely feed myself without spilling it all down me... Car was indeed covered in stickers when I got it... I know why now! To be honest though. I do want to tidy it up and make it look a bit pweety Quote

samcooke Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Go and see Nick Bentley at Gt Yeldham near Halstead, north Essex 01787 237523. he'll do whatever quality you want. Last time I was there he had a lovely Aston V8 he was painting properly, but he was also happy to do a cheap and cheerful rattle can repair to my old Merc. Quote
Porkie Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Thanks. Thats nice and close. Will give him a call Quote
