JeffC Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Brian James club trailer, I had it Professionally covered by GB body builders specifically for a Caterham last October.. I previously had a Brian James race shuttle but found it heavy and hard to tow due to the height, this trailer is very light and due to the size has little drag and is very easy to tow, I gained 6mpg towing this over my race shuttle!!! I am now selling the caterham so will now have no use for the trailer! The frame is aluminium which is welded and riveted and ally panels have been bonded to the frame, I have had a small access door fitted to the l/h side front which makes it very easy for securing the straps to the front wheel against and also accessing the jerry cans to fill them which are strapped there. In the front of the trailer I have a full width shelf 6ft wide x 4ft deep, This is ideal for storing all of my wheels and tyres tools etc and makes getting them out really easy when you get to the track ! The trailer is 4ft tall from the bed to the roof so a caterham with a full roll cage fits in with ease, the two ramps simply slide from under the car and secure with a pin , the rear of the trailer has a full size door on hydraulic rams .Once built I sent the trailer to a main dealer bodyshop where it was painted in 2 pack paint and oven baked. I have included a picture when it was first built so you can see the quality of the build. I have also used the trailer for karting and we can get 4 karts in. offers over £2000. Ps. will have to check a westy fits in it , Its perfect for a caterham if anyone can link it to blatchat !!
