pistonbroke Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 There was a write up on KERS some time ago in Motor Sport , there was an great explanation of how these things work and an article about the research that McLaren had done into these some years back withh aview to using them on there F1 cars . The gist of it was that McLaren had aproached the FIA (or whoever the governing body was at the time ) asking them if it was within the rules for them to employ a KERS device for the coming season . The FIA responded by examining the design and approving the use . McLaren went ahead with there plans to implement the system only for the scheme to be rejected , after protests by ............. you guessed it ...... Sefac Ferrari Quote
