MARTIN T Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Thought I would share this info with you all, I wondered who would cover the costs of my westy being damaged while being towed, spoke to Adrian Flux and said very simply, my VW tow van and Westfield are both insured with you and if I had an accident when towing the Westfield what insurance would I claim from, they told me the trailer is insured 3rd party by the van and the Westfield IS NOT INSURED while its being towed on a trailer, they said I would have to take out trailer insurance with another company to cover this, any views on this would be great Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Really suprised that the Westie is not covered on a trailer. Nanas might be able to shed some light, he had a claim a few years back. Quote

Car was not damaged, all the damage done to my trailer was covered (stoneways ins) not sure if car was covered I think car(WF) & trailer would need to be covered under the same insurer for you to be sure of cover (I think there is a company that does both 'Race car cover' or something like?)
