Westfielding2009 maybe back on the cards

I need a new helmet, it has to be car-competition-ready.

12yo daughter needs a helmet.

6yo son needs a helmet.

Where in the East Midlands can we go to try, deal and buy?

I thought I've seen posts here about GPR @ Donington but, even if GPR remains solvent, can't find them now.

Do yor kids need a race spec helmets ? if not will a decent bike helmet do the job just as well. Both me and the missus got Gold rated bike helmets from a local bike shop. they knew their stuff and fitted hers really well, as we had to order specifically a ultra small adult helmet for her, she fitted in a kids XL but it wasnt right and the guy in the shop said he'd rather sell an adult helmet as it would be better in the long run.

when i got mine i was talking about wanting to do some motor sport and the same shop but the guys wife served me. she pointed out a bike helmet was not the right spec and showed me what she could get in that would be right if i wanted.

GPR are based at Silverstone not Donington and are still trading having been purchased by Martin Hines

Be careful Mr C especially with jnrs if you're looking to take em for passenger rides on trackdays cos quite a few now won't let any under 14/16 in cars

I'd try a bike shop for some cheap bike helemts
