Liam Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I have an old Orange Prestige in bits and an even older Mercian gathering dust as I find that I have to lie down if I even think about riding them The son and heir on the other hand has downhilled into the ground more bikes than my bank manager cares to remember . His current motor bike without an engine is a Brooklyn Quote
DAVE O Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Yep - that garden looks pretty much down hill to me Liam Quote
DAVE O Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 For sale. £50 Original Raleigh pursuit, 10 gears, everything works, collect from Nottingham I paid £40 for the seat! It could do with a little TLC, like new gaiters on the brakes levers, tyres are OK. Nice light bike for everyday use. Neil Neil, Put your bike for sale on here - might get some interest.... clicky Quote
stu.graham Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Not got a real picture of mine, but ride on of these: A 2006 Orange 5 Pro XT. Ive the the Pro 5 and a Marin Eldridge hard tail, both great bikes!!!!! Quote
chappers Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I've just gone back to a hardtail and its great...feels really old school It is a Cotic Soda by the way. If you want old school you can have my 2000 gulf colours Specialized stumpjumper and I'll have your Cotic soda, but I'm not making up the difference in cash ,unless you'll consider installments for the next five years. Anyway it's not the bike, its the rider Quote
Liam Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Yep - that garden looks pretty much down hill to me Liam Part of the scene when you live on the side of a Tor in deepest Devon oo-arr Quote
custardtart Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 my beast Its a b****r to get it to the top of a hill but it sure is a an adrenalin buzz gettin it back down again Yes it lives in the kitchen no room in garage Great bikes. Mine's a Mount Vision, had it since '99, Manitou's are a bit sloppy and it's got new XTR kit but other than that it's been spot on. Worst moment I've had was cycling up Skiddaw Best moment was coming down again! Quote
combatsapph Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Okay, built up now. It's not a recent frame but it is brand new - NOS - I always but bike parts like this, the Rock Shox Reba's are the same. I want to fit some hydraulics when the wheels need replacing. This is the old frame/forks/seat post etc that the above replaced. I can't quite bring myself to throw it in the bin: Quote
Bluerallye Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Been swinging both ways for years now Past steeds of note were a full carbon Giant MCM (lost in divorce) a Whyte PRST-1 full susser (after riding a prototype at Red Bull24h in about 98) and a DeRosa Primato. Current bikes below are my steel Colnago Master Extra Light, probably the best all round road bike i've ever ridden A full titanium Raleigh SRP division, custom painted up in the Raleigh Ti Creda world cup colours of 78/79 & TdF winning colours of 1980. Def a 'Q' bike if such a thing And a Giant NRS for the dirty bits Quote
