I once built a pace bike up for a bloke I used to work with who had one leg - frame had square section tubing and back then 1995ish - cost a few quid was a metalic green colour and looked well when finished Quote

oldman Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Just curious!I've seen loads of posts on ere about mountain biking but non on road bikes....wots the connection between Westfields & mountain bikes Road bikes - you ride from A - B as quickly as possible, in a group of 40 totally ignoring the scenery. The bike is just a means of A-B travel. You must ride in an inconsiderate manner to other road users (two abreast?). Mountain bikes - more of a solitary or small group activity. You enjoy exploring and trying to get the most out of the bike - you love adding "techy" stuffy to it without really caring what it looks like. And you don't care how long the ride takes, as long as it's fun. I can certainly see the link between Westfields and mountain bikes :-) Right, I'm off to hide before the cycling short brigade descend for vengeance! See wot you mean but wot about about a bunch of Wessies blatting & totally ignoring the scenery Quote

simmi Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 For sale. £50 Original Raleigh pursuit, 10 gears, everything works, collect from Nottingham I paid £40 for the seat! It could do with a little TLC, like new gaiters on the brakes levers, tyres are OK. Nice light bike for everyday use. Neil Quote
