Norman Verona Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Anyone know of a 7 friendly MOT station near to the channel tunnel at Folkstone. I'm planning a one day trip to get my MOT in March and it would appear that with the demise of Speed ferries the tunnel is about the only option to do it in one day. LD line who have taken over Speed Ferries route sail at 10:45, take 1.75 hours to cross and return and hour later. Thats it folks, one crossing each way per day. Quote
Vinny's Westie Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Norman, you ask this question every year, either you cannot get the result you want or you just like asking the question. I remember using the Sea-Cat crossing some years ago that crossed in about 35 minutes, very impressive, take it that has gone now? Quote
Asterix Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Maybe Norm's worried that they've closed Folkestone. Hmmm, that's set a train of thought... Quote
Norman Verona Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Vinnie, sorry but last year it was Dover. The only cat crossing I know was the Speed Ferries, 50 minutes with an hours turnround. I'm guessing the best method of crossing, getting an MOT and getting back the same day will be the tunnel. But the nearest town to the terminal is Folkestone not Dover. As it would be nice not to drive 5 hours in the dark getting the MOT as quickly as possible and getting back is pretty important. Quote
