ricambio Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Hi all just to Clarify one or two things from your PM`S to me ,,,,,,,,,, `Tally Ho`Production car Autotest If you would like to run your Westfield in the Tally Ho All forward autotest , 1, Westfield`s must run with The`hood`up , IF YOU DONT HAVE A HOOD GOTO ``SPITFIRE``below ,,,, If you are using a tin top read on , 2, you will have to have a passenger with you, they must be aged from 14 or older , 3, you need to show us your MOT & TAX 4, have a full payed up WSCC club card or a card from the AWMMC See link, The Association of West Midland Motor Clubs 5, If you are a 14 to 18 years old and driving & you do not have a full uk driving licence, your passenger must have a full uk driving licence (bring it along )also if you are 14 to 18 years old your guardian must SIGN for you on the day !(see form 6, drivers from the age of 14yrs can drive with a fully qualified driver sat with them ( on tests only )in a up to 1400cc *Standard* cars please have a look at the last page of the regs for the ``TALLY HO`` ++++++++++++++++++ ``Spitfire``Autotest Now if you don`t have a Hood on your Westfield or if you have No Tax or Mot then you can still have a go but in the `SPITFIRE`Autotest, what do you need , 1, have a full payed up WSCC club card or a card from the AWMMC See link, The Association of West Midland Motor Clubs 2, you Cannot have a passenger ! 3, you can run in a open top car 4, If you are aged 17 to 18 years old, with a full u/k driving licence you will Still need a guardian to SIGN for you on the day ! (see form) Please look at last page of the SPITFIRE Reg`, For both events, on the day you we need to do ,, 1,Maximum Noise Limits is 100db @ 0.5m or 88db @ 2.0m ** Most STD cars are usually well under, this is aimed at modified cars ** 2, Scrutineering, `a must`you cant run with out passing (Saftey ) 3, club card , 4, Signed on ( Driver & passenger) again a must `do` This type of event is not hard to do it`s all forward (NO Reversing) It is the type of even you granny can do , Every gate, you have to go through has a letter so you go from the start line to A^ throught it ^ A then to B ^ B then C ^ C and so on to the finish line, a bit like Auto solo but this is run under Autotest rules ,,,,and timed but if you hit any cones thats 10 seconds `per` cone on your time ,or if you do not stop with you front & rear wheels astride of the finish line that is also 10 seconds on you total time ,, So give it a go , if you need any more info pm me for my phone number ,,, Some of the old tests i have used ,for you to see what it is all about ,,,,, Video from one of my Production car Autotest ``Tally``Ho Also a Video of a `Spitfire`type event , I hope this makes things a bit easier to understand & not bad for £15 , well i would say that Thanks ,,, Mark Barnes = Ricambio Ps, we also have Hot Drinks & Buttys from Pam in her butty van from 8.30 to 13.00 Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Gotta say the Autotests look great fun and an ideal way to blow out those winter cobweb blues and get involved in grass-roots club motorsport C'mon you lot go for it Quote
combatsapph Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 That does look awesome and for me, looks more fun that a track day :-) One point:- QUOTE 3, you need to show us your MOT & TAX Newly registered cars wont have an MoT cert. Does that mean they have to go in the Spitfire event? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Any car that is legally except fro MOT for road use will be o.k. Tax and MOT are to show that the car is road registered and safe. With a new car not needing MOT for first 3 years then you should be fine Quote
Crazy Eddie Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Did one of these through the Owen Motoring Club and was really well organised and I was made to feel very welcome so can recvommend. Only thing I had a problem with was that I blew up my fireblade engine!!! Quote
ricambio Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 3, you need to show us your MOT & TAX Newly registered cars wont have an MoT cert. Does that mean they have to go in the Spitfire event? Hello,,, With new cars we would just look at the tax for the `Tally Ho` Production Autotest , also i know this is a pain but it`s a MSA thing ,,,,,, PCA = PRODUCTION CAR AUTOTESTS , cars have to run with the `hood`erected,,, Eg: `hood` `up`. Msa Blue book rule (D)43 So if you have tax and a hood then the`Tally Ho`PCA is for you ,, Or if you `Do Not` have a Hood then it`s the `Spitfire` Autotest , is the one ,,, Ricambio = Mark Barnes Quote
