MVS Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Elfin T5 driven by Autocar This has some interesting / challenging styling. Will be interesting to see if they do ever get round to bringing them over here, given the economic state at the minute. Quote
custardtart Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Elfin T5 driven by Autocar This has some interesting / challenging styling. Will be interesting to see if they do ever get round to bringing them over here, given the economic state at the minute. Been covered a few times on here. I loved the original prototype but as usual these things are nevery as good looking in production. Still, it's extremely nicely put together and has a huuuuuge engine - would love a go in one! Quote
MVS Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 I realise it had it's just there are some nice pictures linked to the diatribe. Quote
MVS Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 I like it I have to concur that it's growing on me also. Price may change that significantly though The back end seems to be particularly different. Shame they didn't fix the number plate on straight Quote
lippydave Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 If I squint and ignore the styling, this Click seems lovely....ie Very well engineered and built, but styled by David Blunkett's dog with a blunt pencil..... Oh, and (over)priced as a British semi-detached.... Some great touches on it though... Quote
lippydave Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 You mean thisClick Yup I did..... Edited original post so I don't look like a proper numpty...... Errr, err, oh sh*t, too late..... Quote
MVS Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Think I still prefer the Aussie bash at a 7. Quote
custardtart Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 The quality on both these cars is where the UK Kit Car industry should be aspiring to be. The Spanish one looks to have the most resolved hardtop and detailing of any 7 I've seen. It looks almost production car like. I guess the problem is the development costs needed to come up with such a sorted solution. Having said that, if a company can come up with a 7 that has a production look/feel and proper hood/hardtop and can genuinely be used all year round then it would turn the industry on it's head and massively raise it's profile.
