O/T DVD to Creative Zen

Someone give us a clue, got our lad a creative zen for xmas, rips cd's great but software that came with it won't convert direct from a dvd, needs the video file to be in avi format or something?

Looking for some simple to use and free software and a few tips if there are any experts about.

If you're after free bits of software then...

DVD Decrypter is very good at removing encryption from DVD's

erightsoft's SUPER is an excellent piece of software for converting a multitude of formats to and fro.  It's not user-friendly, but trial and error is part if the fun!

I use them both to get stuff onto my ipod classic.  I'd be surpised if the format you need is not available.

Once I have got the video file on my PC I use the Creative Video Converter prog that came with the Zen, it seems to have done all my files so far.

Does that not process what you need?

DavidR, I have the convertor just needed to get it onto my pc in a file type it would accept.

Should be sorted now I believe.
