Charles King Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Up for sale is a rear disc brake conversion kit for an english axle (brand new and unused). This was bought in May from shorttrack motorsport and has spent the last 7 months sitting in the study (not going to get round to fitting them at the moment) what's included: 2x Discs 240x10mm Drilled 2x Bolt on brackets 2x Spacer plates to replace drum back plate 6x Bolts for brackets 2x bolts for ... erm? 1x pack of washers The discs are supposed to fit straight over english half shafts without machining (hole is about 135mm), however I have an RS2000 back axle which must have bigger half shaft flanges so they don't fit. What you will need (not included): Pair of non vented sierra rear calipers (pretty easy to find) set of pads Handbrake Cable (click pics to expand them) Cost me £112.50 + P&P Bargain at £80 Ideally these would be picked up from Rye, E Sussex area (or I can deliver within 30 miles if you pay the diesel) I can also post them (would probably cost £20)
sailing Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Will these fit an escort live back axle on a narrow bodied Westfield or are the for independant rear suspensions? Tony
Charles King Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 "Up for sale is a rear disc brake conversion kit for an english axle" Which axle do you have? There were two live axles for the escort: The English and Atlas axle. This set is for the English axle. This will fit a narrow body westfield (it was going on a pre-litigation) Also to say there are no offers on the kit (it really is a bargain already).
