brianm Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 is this stuff any good or should i steer clear, its for timing cover and small brackets etc, ment to have a nice wrinkle finish to it johny It's very good if you do it right. Spectra was the manufacturer of the stuff I used. It does need care and can only be applied to bare metal from what I recall. Also you can only give one heavy coat, it cannot be over coated so if you dangler it up it means stripping back down and doing again. Its very hard when fully dry, which doesn't take long, but as a result can chip. I actually think it's a superb finish. Can't recall what the performance should be like on hot parts as I only did a set of speaker stands Quote
Liam Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 My Pinto cam cover has it. Now done 17000. Good as new and it gets very hot under the bonnet. . Quote
nice_guy Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Thanks a lot for your feedback ! I'll see if the local powdercoating shop can do such a job, if not I'll default to VHT wrinkle plus, on a sunny day... Quote
