CVH ENGINE ISSUES

??? no mate pretty sure  thats right. Think i,ll invest in another gauge. Borrowed one before but the plugs are well into the head on a cvh and most compression testers dont fit  :angry: Will see what sunday brings. :t-up:

As has already been said, oil should improve figures, not reduce them, so that is very weird.

Just to check, you did do the tests with a wide open throttle didn't you? I suspect you did from the first set of numbers, but it is always worth checking.

If you did, and haven't go the wet and dry numbers back to front, then feck knows what going on...

Well cant thank John Fisher enough for his help this morning.Brought the boroscope over this morning and had a look around,No holes in any pistons. Block looks ok bores like new. All valves intact and seem to be seating ok. Started her up and running really rough. Noticed no water in the header tank. Strange because it was at normal level last week and the engine has not run. General concensus is the head gasket although it looks intact where we could see. It looks like a head off job but good news its not a piston or valve gone. ???
