another problem with my clio

Recommended Posts

i got this clunking sound starting to eminate from the front of my clio. it only happens when i put full lock on and move off, like manouvering in a car park.

its been suggested its the CV joint. any other ideas?

does anyone know where to get a new one from or how to test to see if it is this?

CV Joint sounds right to me, I had a very similar problem in a Fiesta many many years ago. Turning left and it used to knock louder than a knocky thing! :-)

One assumes you can buy those from any reputable parts place (and some not so reputable ones)...

Had the same probelm with an AX a few years ago , worse knocking turing left than right. Got replacement shafts form Euro Car Parts. They can uasually tell the correct part from your car reg on their data base.
