Selling a Car 2 someone Aboard

Currently selling my car but someone from holland is interested....has anyone sold abroad?if so what do i watch out for and would you recommend it??

I had a guy claiming to be from france try to buy my car from autotrader, sent me a bankers draught for 15k when the car was only up for 12 said he wanted to export it for his daughter.

rang autotrader and my local police to check it out, turns out its a common scam, either some kinda money laundering thing. or the bankers draught will clear then magically un-clear a week or so later!!

Just my experience, you may be ok!

Yes sold two.

One to Denmark and one to France. No problems at all.

In both cases the money was transferred directly to my Bank.

Maybe lucky in that neither purchaser wanted to pick the cars up for 4 to 6

weeks after the money was sent so I knew it was well clear.

I bought my car this way, and jeffC got his car paid by money transfer.

avoid bank draft would be my only advise

he said he would pay pash on collection but ive said i would want to take it to the bank 1st before letting the car go....so it shud be ok??just so i know theres no fake £20's.

sound safe enough, but then you have to make sure the guy is coming during bank opening hours which can be tricky if it's anything like in Ireland.

Wouldn't accept pash if I were you.Pash nuts are owreet but cash nuts are better.Wotever happens don't let it go for peanuts
