Already got a trickshifter...

I've not read all the posts but some people have specified push / pull (I assume direction to change up).

It doesn't matter with these, you just reverse the wires in the connector to suit.  You've got a 50/50 chance of it being the right way already, or a 2 min job with a small screwdriver (IIRC) if you're unlucky.
