BigDaveUK Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Sorry guys i`m going to have to drop out of this one had an offer i cant refuse on a rollcage so the money is going there. Cheers Dave Quote
indy2000 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 i'm out too, seeing as your now going for the trickshifter rather than the flatshifter, nothing wrong with the trickshifter other than they don't manufacture what i'm looking for. Cheers anyway Quote
iiyama Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 ok guys, got a quote from trickshifter and they give us 25% off (for 10 or more kits, 15% for 5-9 kits) the retail price which equate to £371.25 + VAT and shipping on the up and down shifter They do not offer something equivalent to the expert kit sold by flatshifter unfortunately. Am I missing something here? Looked here :- http://www.trickshifter.com/index.html and the only two shifters I can see are priced at £495 + VAT and £295 + VAT. Wheres £371.25 +VAT come in to it? Im a little puzzled! Quote
iiyama Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Cancel that, having a blonde moment!!!!!!!!!! Quote

iiyama Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 2006 Hayabusa, standard TB's. Anyone got any pictures of where the downshift actuator fits? Need to be sure I can fit the thing as I dont have a great deal of space where the gear shift lever is and I need to be a sure as possible that it will fit! Quote
ludo Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 on JeffC old car it was fitted in place of the rod acting on the gearbox, the one positioned vertically in the engine bay. Quote
Andy @ Cat Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 on JeffC old car it was fitted in place of the rod acting on the gearbox, the one positioned vertically in the engine bay. Thats where I had mine fitted on both my megablade and my megabird. works a treat. Quote
BuGsBuNnY Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I am still in. Can someone clarify for me whether trickshifter do a unit that blips the throttle on the downshift? Also, just me being stupid, the clutch is still there and can be used for low speed manouevres? I am not with the car this week, but will try to get someone to have a look to answer the question posed about the direction of the shift rod on the gearbox. Engine is a standard Busa. Quote
ludo Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 Clutch still here and has to be used for stop and start at least. as for the blipping, Andy? By the way, Andy put himself up to take everyone's order individually and deal with Trickshifter for the whole order while keeping the price as I posted Quote
paublo Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hi Bugs, Trickshifter 1 is the full up and down, including the blip... Trickshifter 2 is the shift up (drag strip style) unit. Clutch is fully independant of the system, essentially the trickshifter cuts the fuel or coils inducing a small delay in the drive train allowing the car to accept the gear change without use of the clutch while at speed. You will still need to use the clutch at low speeds. You should be able to do this yourself at present but easing off the throttle while maintaining some pressure on the gearshift... Cheers Paul Quote
iiyama Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 So I take it we contact Andy if we want to place an order? The differences between the FS and TS are?? Quote
