iiyama Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Dont see my name on the list dude........Put me down provisionally for an Expert..... Quote
ludo Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 email sent to trickshifter, no reply from flatshifter, sending a reminder later on today. For the rod ends paublo enquired, on trickshifter website it is written that they are not supplied. I don't they it's gonna be a big spending though, mechanical load on these are so smal that the cheapest rod end you can find would do the job I think, unless I am wrong though. Quote
paublo Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I'll stop worrying then about the rods... thanks for the replies... just been working out how to fit one with the cable system I have... Quote
Meeerrrk Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 hi, saw this on locost builders; please can you put me as an "interested" with thanks, mark Quote
ludo Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 ok guys, got a quote from trickshifter and they give us 25% off (for 10 or more kits, 15% for 5-9 kits) the retail price which equate to £371.25 + VAT and shipping on the up and down shifter They do not offer something equivalent to the expert kit sold by flatshifter unfortunately. On the set-up of the group buy point of view, they want only one payment so somebody would have to collect money upfront from everyone else and then pay trickshifter directly. I wouldn't mind collecting the money and paying them but as I only have a french bank account even if I have one in £ it will cost you all I think. I need to see if they are willing to ship each kit individually. Still waiting for Flatshifter to get back to me with prices. What do you guys think? anyone to deal with the money aspect? Quote
gixermark Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 i would have thought if everyone paid credit card to them individually, IF they didn;t get the required number they could just refund back to each card... I assume they are comcerned with not getting the required numbers if they go individually. Quote
BigDaveUK Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Sounds like a decent discount. so looking around £450 to your door. I dont fancy the responsibility for that much of somebody else`s money thanks! Quote
yqusta Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I think the price is pretty good but the fact of someone collecting all the cash is a bit unrealistic on a forum based group buy. YQUSTA Quote
ludo Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 ok, I'll explain them our issues tomorrow and see if we can work something out. Quote
ludo Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 ok, regarding payment something is being worked out so now it's time for all to confirm agreement upon the price quoted here and I 'll update the list on the first page subsequently. Each and everyone interested shoud give the following information: engine: throttle bodies used: direction the shift rod moves when changing up the gearbox: Ludo Quote
