Due to space requirements, the following is for sale.pre-litwestfield002.jpg

£695.

Massive price reduction I really do need the space.

The reason its posted in the parts for sale is that it is just a collection of parts.

Sometimes a collection of parts like this is described as a basket case, a fair description.

This is what you will get for your money.

Chassis  no 22 , with slight surface rust, steering column,

pedals, master cylinders etc.

Roll cage.

Seats.

Aluminium main body, aluminium scuttle, and bonnet.

Fibre glass nosecone and cycle wings.

A fibre glass mould for the rear wings.

Full rear suspension includes trailing arms, panhard rod,

and dampers with springs.

Rear axle in bits includes brake drums  diff etc.

Full front suspension , Triumph uprights with discs, ally hubs and brake calipers, dampers and springs.

Wishbones , steering rack .

Radiator with assorted hoses.

Prop shaft.

Windscreen with pillars.

There are no wheels

Its almost complete apart from an engine and gearbox.

It was partly converted to take a Zetec engine and 5 speed gearbox.

There is a V5 .

The first MOT was in 1985.

Original aluminium Westfield 7s are very rare, and one day will be most sort after.

If any Westfield car can claim to having heritage, this is it.

This rebuild is not for the faint hearted or those bereft of the required skills.

But the time and effort will be well rewarded

An offer of £695 will be welcomed, considered, and accepted.    :D

Regards.

A nice light ,revving engine with a set of these on these on one side.[

That would be a Puma engine then, now that would be a nice bit of kit, its also avalible.

What a quick little car you could make with these parts.

Perhaps offers for the lot?

  • 3 weeks later...

Looks like an interesting project.

Where are you in the country, out of interest?

I live close to Nottingham.

One of the reasons the prelit is for sale is because the tent is too small for 3 westfieds and me.

But I have been known to haggle like a pikey when the occasion demands.

To all the people who have expressed an interest in this dismantled car, and have provisionally promised to come along this weekend.

Please note.

To be fair ,I can only sell on a first come , first serve basis.

Please phone to confirm if you are coming.

...and make sure you take a trailer or van to take it away in as Mick REALLY does want the space.

BTW - I am much jealous of whover gets its. A stripped out Prelit with a nice dose of carbon panels and a healthy light revvy Puma engine would be awsome and a while back there were plans for this brain child but the credit crunch and job loss have scuppered all such plans

Its still for sale .

I have now found the interior panels, fuel tank, aluminium panels, and the 2 rear wings with lights and the bias bar for the brake pedal.

The price is now raised to £775.

Saturday will be the last veiwing day.

Then it will fall into the arms of E-bay.

Its still a very cheap kit of parts.

2nd to see will buy.

The first was 6-2" and 15+ stone , too big for the car.   ;)

Regards

Hi

Can you let me know the status of this please - still for sale or sold?

Also just how many bits are there - not quantity but how many still attached to chasis etc? Do you have any other pictures as I guess it's not as shown?

Thanks

Craig
