That definately is not a Speedsport - the Scuttle is wrong (unless it has been replaced with the aeroscreen mod.

Some of his prices in the engine build seem Ott - baffled sump etc.

car looks tidy though.

I know that car a little bit, it used to be owned by a mate of rob navins from Chesterfield & he's the one who spent all the money on it- worth pming rob.

The spec of the speedsport changed from it's first conception, the original "genuine" speedsports introduced in 1998 all had f+r anti roll bars, 3.92 ratio diff with lsd, traxspax dampers, nylon bushes, 205/50/15 tyres, jenvey throttle bodies and mbe management, some cars had scholar engines, others standard 130 spec ford units. Some cars have 2 ltr engines as optional extras requested by the original owners. The model was developed by the race people at the westfield factory.

After approx 2000/2001 the model above seemed to come to an end, although many cars out there wear the speedsport sticker and the specifications vary widely, many are simply 1800 sports with a sticker on them, wheras others are hgh spec cars with anti roll bars, lsds etc.

The car you are looking at is not to original speedsport spec but is a very well specced car (I'd buy it), although I doubt the gearbox has a quaife kit installed. I've been researching & working on getting a set of different ratios made for the mt 75 box & most of the kits available still retain the standard ratios and cost £4500+!

Hope this helps on the speedsport spec, Rob Navin should be able to help more with that particular car.
