plawson63 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Might be a long shot but im wondering does anyone drive or know wether you can drive a telehandler(Forklift) on the road on a normal license. The Dvla website says that you can drive Agricultural tractors on a normal car licence if it has part f,which mine does but we dont use it for agricultural purpose, its a construction telehandler. Norman Verona Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Looks like a tractor with forks to me Quote
langy Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 We use telehandler's on site and drive them on public highways everyday of the week. As far as I am aware, the driver doesn't need a specific categorey on his license, but should be trained, competant etc, in using it. Also my be worth getting it 'road legal' i.e. number plate, lights and indicators. HTH, Sean Quote
Dave Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 QUOTE Also my be worth getting it 'road legal' i.e. number plate, lights and indicators You can derive a forklift on the road with a normal car licence as long as its taxed insured etc so the same should go for a telehander? Bit of a Tw**t trying to get a forklift registered then taxed, not as bad as SVA just a paperwork job. Dave Quote
