BEC conversion package

For sale is an almost complete package to covert your CEC to 893 Fireblade bike power.

Most stuff is included and would prefer to sell the lot as a package than mess about selling the bits separatley.

Included in the deal is the following:

1995 893cc Fireblade engine fitted with 919 gearbox.inc water temp sensor, and oil pressure sensor.Dynojetted

Westfield exhaust manifold

Large exhaust can. This is very quiet and was fitted by the previous owner for track days etc. Absolutely no noise issues anywhere. Depending on the car it may need either the n/s rear arch trimming to accomodate it or alernatively, shorten the can slightly.

Engine loom, ECU, rectifier, coils leads etc

All rubber hoses and pipework

Oil cooler and stat

Foam air filter and backplate

Clutch cable

Fuel pump (plus spare)

Electric reverse. This consists of a cog that bolts to the prop at the engine end and a starter motor that operates off a button on the dash. I could sell this for 250 quid on ebay as they are popular with the RGB boys and are like hens teeth.

Cushdrive

The gear lever, rods, pivot etc etc. (over £90 odd quid from westfield)

Spare set of EBC clutch friction plates.

Upper engine cradle modified for electric reverse and prop also included

All you would need is the skills to wire it up, a lower engine cradle.

An electric water pump would be needed with this so the electric revers cog will fit.

I do have one that I can include for extra dosh.

£1500.00

I  also have for sale, by separate negotiation, a Stack dash and loom inc wheel speed sensor.

This works fine but the rev needle is broken off and is about £130 to get fixed from Stack.

Twas like this when I bought the car but couldnt be arsed to fix it.

I am looking for around £300 for this as it is. They are about £800 plus new from Stack!!

Luverly juberly Mark, all she needed to be perfect was a wee bit more oomph. With her handling she will fly.

The Tangerine Tornado is going up to a category 5!!

Hi Mark, I've been thinking of upgrading my 919 to a 1000rr....out of interest what model year engine did you got for?

Did the standard bottom engine cradle fit the 1000rr then?

Cheers, Walshy.

Walshy, first of all this isnt a straight forward conversion.

Its a very tall engine and requires a billet sump and there are issues around the prop adapter/water pump area. Nothing that cant be resolved but as ever at a cost.

The lower engine mounts are the same width as the 893 blade but leave the engine too far forward in the engine bay so the Westfield lower cradle stillneeds to be modified.

I will be posting details of the conversion once complete, together with parts required etc.

for future reference for myself, im assuming this 893 will have more oomph than my vulcan 2.1 pinto?? reason i ask is i change my mind each day with thoughts of going for a bike engine.

i know you say the new 1000rr will be better than the 893 but is this 893 better than my pinto??

i realy must get a ride out in a BEC...anyone on teesside with one?
