galois Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Is it possible to hire a car trailer for a couple of weeks? Looking to take the westfield up to the West Coast of Scotland/France for a couple of weeks and it just seems painful to do ~10 hours on the motorway (5 hours was bad enough earlier this year). Thanks Quote

Bananaman Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 might be cheaper to buy one then sell it on your return, prob not loose much if any ££ Quote
Kevin Wood Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I think I paid 60 quid a day when I hired one for my SVA and that was 8 years ago. Got it from Southern Trailers in Four Marks, which might be on your way if you're heading to France. I live 5 mins walk up the road if you need to collect at an odd hour or fancy a cuppa. Hopefulyl for a longer rental the price would be more palatable. Could get a lot of tanks of fuel for a couple of weeks' rental at that rate. Also bear in mind that trailers do tend to go walkies if you're planning on leaving it parked up anywhere. I think there was no insurance in that rental price. You lose it, you pay for it! However, I've been up to Scotland and down through France many times in the Westfield and it's fine IMHO. Get some ear defender headsets on and some tunes from an MP3 player and the miles roll by.
