....so off to Porsche Chester we go next week

Ok Scott, but don't come to Chester , there are no porsche dealers here ( Nor Lexus, come to think)  ???

If you go 12 miles away to Ellesmere port under the shadow of Stanlow refinery you'll find it .

Nothing wrong with Ellesmere port , but I don't get why  Porsche and Lexus have dealerships there but call them Chester dealers , obviously cheaper rates so what does that say about them  ???

I only see 3 in the 'S' Squadron so far so not quite all !Keep the 220 as I suggested  previously. The Boxster is the slippery slop back to eurobox normality. Former boxster owners normally dribble into Megane or focus cabriolets and before they know it they're in a Dutton with a cross flow!!

Appalling generalization  :), although I like the thought of a 'slippery slop'.

I also have a Subaru of the right sort,  a pre-war Alvis, and a WF Eleven.

But I am nearly bankrupt...

Tony, what's the Alvis?

Tony, what's the Alvis?

Its an old car Norm , probably made before the war  :p

Yeah, the Boer war...

Only asked.  Wondered if it is a FWD model.

Were there any cars in the Boer War, I thought all the drama was about trains.

Oh dear.  Firstly it's the slippery slop; now it's the Boer war.  No cars there, I think, but let's start some more hares running.

Would Winston Churchill have driven a Dutton in the Boer war, if it had been available?  If not, why not?

What is the connection between Dutton and Dutton Forshaw?

For the record, my Alvis is a Firebird Special (yes, I know, what's special about it?).  Last time I looked, it was RWD, just like a Dutton.

Time to move on - Tony L

Thanks Tony, interseting car.

Whilst Churchill did drive he didn't do so often.

In the Boer war he got involved with choo-choos.

Buzz, Never heard of them  :D

Appalling generalization

very american with the 'z' in it

Yes, there's a reason for that.

I assume you mean a legacy?

No, a legacy is something you leave behind.  Mine's a Forester turbo....

Wrong!  It's  a Singer - surely you've heard of Alvis Presley.

:D For a moment I thought you were gonna say Impretza for the Subaru thank god you didn't I feel the same distaste for Impretza drivers as I do for the Berlin Muppet Wagon M3 drivers

Anyway back to the thread...

Scott did you get anything sorted this weekend?? Give me a bell when you get a chance...
