Mobsy
Distress Sale. Due to a ‘racing incident’ a couple of weeks ago I now have a shortage of both time and money hence there is now an opportunity for someone to buy a nearly finished Westfield at a knockdown price. All the following is for sale at £5000 cash, no offers. Westfield SEW Aeroscreen. This was to be a version of my Championship race car but for road and trackday use. Lightweight bodywork in black all fitted. Detachable arches. Lockable bonnet. Westfield Championship specification 1.8 Zetec race engine with ported head, standard unworked head available. Twin Weber 45s. Webcon Alpha engine management system. Camcoated black race exhaust manifold. Techcraft repackable 6” silencer. Exhaust shield for SVA. 5-speed gearbox. AVO adjustable shock absorbers all round. Front anti-roll bar. Live axle with rebuilt 3.9 diff and extended rear brackets for better anti-squat. Floor mounted pedals. Separate front and rear brake master cylinders with remote reservoir. Sierra rear disc brakes. Cortina front uprights with alloy hubs. Set of 5 ex-Westfield factory demonstrator wheels with excellent Toyo tyres, one unused. Scuttle fitted with smoked perspex Aeroscreen both used. Round clear lensed rear lights. M&P small black headlamps. Caterham indicator pods. VDO instruments with all senders. Speedo (driven by transducer from the gearbox), tacho, water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel level. RAC roll bar. New Westfield Race seats in black. New Westfield 4-point harnesses in black. Lightweight gel race battery. Westfield 20-litre alloy race fuel tank. LED rainlight, e-marked foglight available for SVA. Jobs to be done. Fasten wiring loom in place along tunnel and rear now it’s all tested and working. Connect transducer to speedo and calibrate. Fit brake pads and bleed brakes. Fit handbrake gaiter and tunnel top panels. Boot cover panels are made but need fitting. Connect throttle position sensor wires. Connect Webcon power feed. Paint exhaust collector (forgot to take it for Camcoating) and connect exhaust system. Re-fit passenger seat and belts, scuttle, nose-cone and front wings. Removed to avoid damage. Temporary bracket for SVA fog light. Final fitment of LED rainlight post SVA. Fit nut covers/edge trim for SVA. Probably some other minor jobs. Engine oil. Gearbox oil. Differential oil. Engine tuning to suit larger carbs, I recommend Troy at Northampton Motorsport. Suspension set-up , recommend Ivan and Matt at Procomp. SVA, the engine is dated 1994 and the car was always intended to be registered on a 'Q' plate so no catalyst needed and other less stringent requirements. Extras available. Brand new hood for RAC bar, sidescreens, heated windscreen, black scuttle. Secondhand wiper kit. £500. Wiring and switches already fitted so a swap of the scuttle changes from aeroscreen to full weather. Full roll cage, needs re-powdercoating. £400. Here are some pictures taken earlier this year. Since these the roll bar has been fitted, the dash covered and some other jobs done. The alloy radiator is no longer fitted, in it's place is a new larger capacity golf style radiator.
