Fantastic day at the hill for the final meet of the year.

Loads of shots going in the gallery but I thought it was awfully nice of team Flymo to punt it off right in front of us :D

Whoops

Farmhouse gravel bites again

Looks like a set of Colway F2's on the front. Any particular reason for that tyre choice?

Was a pair of dunlop cr311 radials as we had been suffering severe understeer and graining on the slicks all year. Very impressed. If I was  in "F" I would be using these instead of the 888's. A good tip from Tony brumfield. Cheaper than slicks too. No understeer and as grippy as the slicks IMHO

Shocked me aswell, we tried some A24 compound slicks first, as we thought that the fronts were *too* soft, had no grip at all. Fine on a trackday when a lap or two had gone, but rubbish on a sprint/hillclimb.

Great pics Simon  - shame the driver's so easily identified! I got a telling off from an official for gravelling the circuit on the way up the hill for my troubles too...

Fortunately for me, our number one driver also had some issues with corner entry speed earlier in the day on the approach to Orchard, so I consider myself in hallowed company. ;-)

Front tyres seem really good - especially for the the money. We'd also took a little more castor off before the event, so that may have helped too

Sadly not! Tommo did a 60.43 - I did 60.70. A long way off Tim Coventry's class record which is in the 58s
