Rid of Tiger for a Westie

Hello again, after 3 years of driving my tiger i think i have gone as far as i can go with it basically i'm fed up of flogging a dead horse, :bangshead:

I have built a 230+ HP Xe and feel this engine deserves a more refined car, can someone adise what model of westie would be suitable?

I'd like wide track and as light as possible, the car would be a road car with track days and Sprints/Hillclimbs in mind.

Basically I will be keeping the running gear from my Cat which will include 3.92 LSD Tranex  CR SC type 9 MBE 967 and Dry sump to build up the Westie,

Are there ever rolling chasssis available from racers?

One niggling little thing though my attention keeps getting drawn to a Fisher Fury!!!! is this a bad thing???

Thanks

The sport 2000s chassis seems to be the top of the heap for Westfield chassis technology so that would be where I would be starting. You can get light weight bodywork but it will not stand the knocks too well so if sprinting may not be the best bet. I dont know how much weight it saves but I am sure you would be better trying to save weight elsewhere.

As for a Fisher Fury they are great cars so before you part with large sums of money have a proper look at both types of car :)

Fisher Fury's are exceptionally good and far more aerodynamic than a 7 type. Dynamically excellent as well but can be slightly 'rough' round the edges on the fibreglass - nothing a good build couldn't sort though.

Without wanting to upset anyone on this forum.....Are you really going to notice that much difference between a tiger and a westfield.....????...

OK, I think the westfield looks better (Thats a personal thing), but weight wise, they must surley be similar?....Does the Tiger have IRS?.......

I had a ride in an IRS Tiger - The ride was "very" smooth,  more comforatble than an IRS Westie  IMO -whether or not it goes around corners I don't know.

Any car of this type will be harsh relative to a tin top saloon none are in the slightest "refined"
