markcoopers Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Can I say a big thank you to the David, Rodger, Darren, Roland and Peter O for helping out over the weekend with cars, equipment and presence. As a second Thank you, to all the members that came up and introduced themselves and said hello and commented on teh club being present, and not just because it was cold outside. For a Club displaying amoung manufactures we looked good, and were mistaken for the factory on many occasions, a reflection and credit to us i think. I didn't take any pictures, but David and Roland did, so i'm sure they will follow and in WW when i submit something this week to Peter. I am prevented for explaining the jubalie jokes for fear of reprisal, david/Rodger you missed a trick in the "KIt Car" magazine, there she was in the full colour picture. few lessons learnt for future pland, but the next event the club andcommittee should be at will be maidstone, all being well. Once again thank you all for support. Quote
hoobahole Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 It was a pleasure Mark. And I did catch some photos.....you, Dave....clingfilm..... Ring any bells? Quote
David H Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 its all about the clingfilm chaps! got some piccies coming. Thanks again Mark, I had a good weekend and for a quick set up, we looked good. Lots of interest and complimentary comments from punters all weekend. Well done there. Whats that about 'Kit car' mag? Dave Quote
slater Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 very well presented stand and Daves car drew many admiring glances, the show seemed smaller this year but I think being on the same weekend as the classic car show at the NEC didnt help. Had a great drive down and took the A roads on the way back great route, 700 miles in total and didnt miss a beat I love my Pinto Westy, and it only rained for the last 15 miles Quote

Mark Stanton Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Are We going to be doing this at other shows Very hopefully all subject to volunteers to "man" the stand and have a car on display all weekend Is that a subtle enough hint for everyone Quote

Dave The free Kit car mag that Tom gave us, was running articles A-Z on all the kit manufactures, and this edition finished off the end of the alphabet, including all makers starting with V......... and there she was, B16ELS pictured in all her glory. markcoopers Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Looks Good Well Done Everybody Are We going to be doing this at other shows Evening mark. Yes, is the simple answer. I'm in negotiations with a number of organisers to try and get a "very cost effectite Stand" at: Maidstone Newark Stafford Peterborough Exeter Poss Donnington. Also something special at Stoneleigh and if possible at Curborough, but more to follow when i have had some thought on that. At the others above we would try and get at least 1 car for the weekend, the flags/banners a table, some merchandise and perhaps a video running on a projector of us on track and blatting (subject to family and legal viewing obviously). I've got most of the dates, so was going to write something for WW on the Exeter and 2009 shows, and let you all know the dates. I'll ask Barny or Adrian then to up date the Web site and then keep updates comming through the year. Well it is a plan anyway. Quote
David H Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 B16ELS is a beast! Gonna get the mag! Quote
