10X Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 What do the letters and #’s mean on the vin # of a Westfield? SA9WSIW211X****** Quote
joe Mac Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I just know that the "9" (3rd digit) is in the VIN number to say that's it's a small serie car (not a massive factory builded car), but for the rest Ask someone at Westfield ? Quote
joe Mac Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 If SA means self assembled, normally the factory build car have another "Vin number" start (not SA).I know that, normally, in the VIN number, the original land from the car is mentionned too (for massive number of builded cars). I will do a search because I remember to have find something on the net. Quote
joe Mac Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 More informations : SA9 (S is for England, and A9 is always for small volume production car (Morgan, Dax have the same 3 first digits). Then, WSL is apparently for Westfield Sportscars Ltd, and then, for the rest, just have a search and interpretation for all digits, wich one is, with a letter, the year of manufactory, ... on the net on all the websites to decode the VIN Number. Hope it helps. Quote
