Glen H Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Looking at changing from BT Broadband cause its £25 a month (they have offered to reduce it to £22). Heard nothing good about Talk talk - but looking at Sky Broadband which is £10 a month - any one use this service or heard anything good / bad ? Or who else is good at the moment ( I know theres loads on the search but that will be outdated by now) Cheers Glen Quote

peterg Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Zen Internet voted best ISP by Which? for several years running and you only sign up to a monthly contract so if your circumstances change you're not committed to 12 months or whatever - we used them for 2 years (until we moved to a house with Virgin Cable) and I have nothing but praise as to the service, reliability and speed of reply for any query whether it was technical or just an admin question Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Hi Glen I use o2 £7.50 pcm for 16meg had no issues what so ever I also get a discount for my mobi which is £15pcm 1000 txt & 500mins incl free calls 2 other o2 users Edited to add: I've been with them for 18months Buzz Quote
DanB Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Second vote for Zen Internet. Not the cheapest, but if you value your time and sanity, worth every penny... Quote
Carl Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Tobe honest SKY have been no problems for me. £5 / month when bundled with phone and TV Quote
Chris.B's Son Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Be* / O2 if your exchange has been LLU enabled. Go to http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php to check it. Upto 24meg depending on your line (we're getting 13meg) and true unlimited without any traffic shaping Quote
tonyl42 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 PlusNet. I used Zen till recently, but it's very pricey, and PlusNet is equally reliable and much cheaper. Quote

Guest Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Yep for all those zen users , zen were great and was with them for a long time until there limits became prohibitive . if you like to be up to date with your Us TV or you download stuff from itunes , bbciplayer etc etc you'll find issues Be (not o2 as they have certain limits) have an unlimited service , never had issues with them , there customer support is even better than zen . I slashed the cost of my Zen Pro which was 30 quid a month to Be's 18 quid a month for a faster better service , its just not many people use or even |Know about Be. https://www.bethere.co.uk/ http://www.samknows.com/broadband/ the best place for real advice is sam knows , which will tell you what suppliers are on your exchange. Blatman Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I use Sky's See/Speak/Surf package @ 26 quid a month. 8meg line (yeah, right. Usually I get about 4 to 5meg, but hey, that's fine), 40Gb a month download limt, and all the tellly channels except Movies, Sport and Porn! That said, it seems the mid package which I have has changed. 27 quid now gets you a 2meg line rather than 8meg, but everything else seems to be the same. It pains me to say it, but it seems pretty good value to me. But I do actually watch telly, despite it being unfashionable... Quote
