This Sunday, alternative to treasure hunt

As an alternative to the treasure hunt and as discussed with Mark J, Liam, Mark B, Graham, Sam, Sean and Dick the new arrangements for Sunday are as follows.

We will visit the Lotus Factory at Hethel for the Lotus 60th anniversary celebrations.

I have called them today and there apperas to be plenty of space to accomodate us.

The meeting place will be the services on the A11 on the Thetford services at 10am mode of transport will be weather dependent (Westies or Tin Tops)

From Thetford we'll convoy to Hethel.

Sorry we didn't quite meet up Chas,

Thanks to Pete Martin's efforts and organisation 6 Northants cars turned out. Journey to Hethel was a combination of Wacky Races and then the M25 on a friday evening for the last 3 miles (which took 2 hours!)

Lotus put on a pretty good event to be fair, with pretty much access all areas. Amazing turn out and a jaw dropping amount of Lotii of course including some from Holland, Italy and France.

Ouch. Our 15 minute back road detour to come in to Potash Lane from the opposite end was worth doing then.

The lack of an answer to my question on both this thread and the one on the original treasure-hunt thread made me err on the side of caution and not go.  Posting at midnight, eight hours before 'the off' probably didn't help, mind.

I did, however, have a tank-emptying drive around cambridgeshire.  Me, my ipod and some glorious sunshine.  Drove until I got lost then turned the satnav on, to get me back home.  Brilliant!
