Martin Keene Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 That'll teach him... at some point during the year perhaps someone at McLaren will give Lewis a copy of the real rule book to read as opposed to the bent one McLaren seem to prefer to use. What a suprise... LOL well I could say the same too... same people seemingly having no problem with another rule break from a McLaren. Your taking the p**s surely? You can't seriously agree with this? Massa was found guilty (that fact is beyond dispute because they fined him) of an unsafe release from the pits in Valencia and was handed a €10k fine. This flies in the face of the FIA's own rules which state if a competitor is found guilty of an unsafe release from the pits they will be subjected to either: a) A 10 stop and go penalty. b) A drive through penalty. c) 25 seconds added to their overall race time. Hamilton attempted to overtake Kimi and got pushed wide, by Kimi, and had to take to the escape road. He lets Kimi retake the position, by enough of a margin that he can switch to a different side of the track *BEHIND* him and then overtakes him again. For f**king crying out loud even the FIA's Charlie Whiting agreed it was within the rules. This s h i t stinks to a whole new level... Quote
JeffC Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 in car respect the size of LH "s kahootas for leaving his braking that late, how quick must his reactions be to pull aside , reckon If it was me I would have ploughed straight into the back of him when I watch that its pretty obvious that Lh did back off and to me didnt take advantage of the short cut, the Ferrari was braking well early as it had no grip which became very apparent the next couple of corners over 3200 signitures on that petition now Quote
Asterix Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 more than 3000 people likely to record itv highlights for evidence now Quote

CedricTheBrave Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Today he lost this year championship, had he finish second he was still in the running. no today the FIA extended the inevitable just for viewing figures sake i tell you for one thing though, it is clear that there is now no one better when its wet. BigDaveUK Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Load of s***e, FIA clearly biased. Mclaren are appealing, data showed hamilton was 6km/h slower than raikonen when crossing the start/finish line, and then crossed the track BEHIND him, outbraking him in the next corner. Even the tv presenters commented on the anti-mclaren FIA!!! Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Balls been watching the tennis The F1 was balls also Ed to add Not the race, the stewards decision afterwards Quote
Norman Verona Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I know I'm being stupid but if the stewards made this decision did they have time to refer the matter to senior FIA management? If not then, if there's a big enough uproar, and it would appear there is* would it not be PC for the FIA to reverse the ruling before it get it out of hand. * however even a 20,000 petition isn't much compared to the total world wide viewing figures. It seems to me that it's only us nutters that are getting hot under the collar about this. The other 200 million viewers (or whatever) will think it's all the better for a last race finish. Quote
