Jumpy07 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Quite a bit of dessent now apearing in various motoring forums, also note that the press have been talking about FIA... not so much being biased against Ferrari..... but being biased in trying to keep the championship closer to the end.. FIA now have a major PR problem whatever your thoughts... but will they care.. probably not... CJ Quote

FW500 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 That'll teach him... at some point during the year perhaps someone at McLaren will give Lewis a copy of the real rule book to read as opposed to the bent one McLaren seem to prefer to use. What a suprise... LOL well I could say the same too... same people seemingly having no problem with another rule break from a McLaren. Quote
ludo Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I'm being seroius but didn't Raikenon commit an offence by cutting across Hamilton thereby causing Hamilton to cut across the corner to avoid a collision. Or did I see something that didn't happen? technically, no, I always found this ridiculous but apparently when you have the inside line you are allowed to push the other one out of the track, plain stupid but LH used it a few times too (see his overtaking at the german gp this year on piquet). I'm not a Mclaren fan, or a williams fan, toyota, ferrari etc etc... I'm a motorsports fan, and I know when i'm being presented with bulls***... Best racing in 5 years, easily and it's been ruined. ludo Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I think you can take the "only bad publicity is no publicity" thing too far...Not sure I will watch the next race... not sure they care, we "european" are no longer the target audience of the F1 circus. thanks jeff, that proove my point, did he lift off in the straight, not a second, but KR made a silly mistake by leaving the inside lane for the hairpin. samcooke Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I have to say, I was amazed Lewis risked going by so soon after the chicane incident, if he'd have left it another corner there would have been no debate. He was obviously quicker and needn't have made the move so quickly. Regardless of whether the FIA decision is right or wrong, Lewis showed poor judgement and if I was uncle Ron I'd be bollocking him. zoso Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 in car Good find... Even from that camera angle you can see how much he let him infront! Quote

samcooke Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 QUOTE so was that clever gamesmanship by Kimi? That had crossed my mind. What's happened to the iceman this year? ludo Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 That had crossed my mind. What's happened to the iceman this year? Gone from being arguably the most reliable and technically able driver to stuffing it every other race. Praps McLaren are drugging his rollmops... he definetely haven't had is head around what's needed to win a championship (taking 2nd or 3rd place when it's the best you can achieve an score the points, winning is not critical anymore, not since the new point system has been put in place). Today he lost this year championship, had he finish second he was still in the running. Quote
