Surely with the ammount of work that goes into stripping the car and then all of the bits that don't get re-used it mustr be cheaper to start with a bare shell? I still remember reading about the first 550M Le-Mans cars, they start out as two road cars, bought from a Ferrari dealership. IRMC the only parts re-used was the shell, block and heads... Quote
