stephenh Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Have just been sent a rather nice catalogue of single seater lotus racing cars which will be sold by auction in Australia in November next. Aparently they were collected by the late John Dawson-Damer, and presumably his executors are now selling. Who was he? I'm probably showing my ignorance now, but I have never heard of him. It is said (by the auctioneers) to be the largest private collection of Lotus single-seaters outside of the Chapman family. A bit out of my league, the only one which I would really want is the ex-Jim Clark Lotus 25, in which the late great Jim Clark won the 1963 world championship. Price guide/estimate is between 1 and 1.8 million Australian dollars!! Still, nice to have the catalogue, and great that the auctioneers thought to send me a copy!! Quote

stephenh Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 Mine's a paper catalogue, but you could try www.bonhamsandgoodman.com.au, which is the auctioneer's website. Quote
KerryS Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 There are 6 Loti, a 16, an 18, a 25, a 39, a 63 and a 79 The 63 never saw much action IIRC. The 39 was a Tasman car Quote
stephenh Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 I cant make my clicky work, but as far as I can see I have spelt everything correctly. So if it wont work for you just note it down and try it (ie the website) yourself without using the clicky link. Quote
