Chris Elworthy Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Thanks to Gavin Simpson for spotting this one. On saturday 16th august there is a Q Plate & Kit Car meet at the Ace Cafe in London. Don't ask me what goes on there, I just know its cool and I've never been. Already plenty of interest from Northants, suggest a meet up somewhere on M1 so that as many as possible can meet up, around 9.30 Ace Cafe Quote
chazpowerslide Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 We could link up with you on this one Chris, I'll canvas the guys............ Chaz. Quote
Blatman Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I'll be there... again... It may be worth trying to get there a little earlier, so we can avoid parking a bit nearer. Or maybe one or both of the AO's could contact the organiser and see if they'll save us a space or 10 Don't ask me what goes on there, I just know its cool and I've never been. It's cool because it has heritage though it's mostly 2 wheeled heritage. The foods OK, and the local yoofs trundle up and down on the road on their mopeds, usually on one wheel. It's a hoot... Quote
davehall Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Any of the Surrey / Sussex / Kent guys fancy poodling along to this? Quote

TbirdX Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Parking at The Ace is tight and always full, I'd be very surprised if they guaranteed you any spaces at all. Well worth a trip down though either way Quote

Chris Elworthy Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 E-Mail reply verbatim from Ace Cafe Hi chris, you do not need to book we operate on a first come first serve basis, though this is the first meet of the q plate and kit cars so I would suggest arriving promptly to ensure parking. Kind Regards claire Sounds like we need to get there early - any suggestions for a meet up venue which is en-route for most people and time? Quote
