jak Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 I think you'll find a lot of people will be at Curborough for the WSCC speed series event John Quote
wiz 1 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Lot more turned up today, weather was a lot better just wished it wasn't so windy. Show could have been better, got some good pics of miss Newark kitcar show though. Might post pics later. Quote
BillyWhizzz2002 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Yes, Would have thought Westfield Sports Cars would have had a stand some where. I did count 10 westys out in the owners padock areas. But there was about 50 robins. Some nice babes in a jeep too, good job the wife didnt see.....lol Quote
wiz 1 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 As promised earlier - The Quantum guy seems to be enjoying himself! Probably keeping an eye on the bear. Quote

RobK Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 We called in again today for an hour on a run to the coast. Better turn out today (did rain alot yesterday!), counted 16+ westfields. Thought WSC would have had a stand, would have thought there was plenty of potential for new sales/ customers to be had Quote
wilsonch Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Firstly miss kit car was HOT I was there both days (XTR2) and was a little dissapointed with the trun out BUT it was the same last year. I wonder if the factory have ever had a display there? It seams to me that both WSCC and the 7 club both use stoneleigh as their main event and for various reasons dont tend to go to Newark. But the other clubs, robin hood in particular use Newark as their event having thier AGM's whilst they are there, dont know why, just an observation. Also had to be a little impressed with the TVR turnout, there must have been 30+ S2's and quite a few others as well......there probably should have been twice that but the rest broke down . BillyWhizzz2002 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Is this your car Wilsonch? Looked nice. Jeep got some attention aswell for some reason.... Quote
markcoopers Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Well we were supporting the WSCC 2 day event at Curborough, which included a Track day, a sprint school, a disco, a BBQ, lots of westfields and a round of our own Speed series. If anyone wants to champion this event and next year organise having a WSCC display, then please get in touch. Every year i write the same after the Newark event, and suspect I will write the same next year. Please don't all hang back being polite not wanting to step up in front of anyone else, I would want for nothing more than someone to organise this event. Oh and please all of you that attended, write in with a visit report and pictures to the club mag (family friendly), and tell us all what we missed and make us come next year. But I suspect like last year and the year before and before that that know one will Quote
wilsonch Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Yep thats the one. Saw those three girls inthe jeep and they were dead misserable not a patch on miss kit car I think many factors influence your decision, there was the british GP on the weekend, some westy owners are bike fans as well, the F1 was on, the SS, and probably many local events and the weather is always a factor. You take yer pick and stick with it. From my point of view, the westy turn out was poor BUT it didn't spoil my weekend of cars BBQ and beer . Chris Quote
KerryS Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Is this your car Wilsonch? Looked nice. Jeep got some attention aswell for some reason.... Miserable they might have been but with two sad old gits taking no notice and Mr Nobbly knees taking picture of the tarmac perhaps their end was grim too PS Hope Mr Nobbly knees is not on here, if so profuse apologies Quote
