damianc Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 Yellow westy at harewood on sunday. Fitted with a child safety seat. Is this to get the kids hooked early? Quote
Phssthpok Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I regularly used a baby seat in the SE for my youngest child when dropping her off at nursery on the way to work. I had to take the side, carrying handles off the seat but, otherwise it fitted a treat. As an aside, once I’d dropped the daughter off I'd store the baby seat by strapping it to the rear wheel. And yes, I was stopped by more than one policeman who, seeing the seat strapped to the rear wheel, thought I actually carried my daughter in it like that. The wife maybe, the kid, never. Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I hope you mean the spare wheel NOT the Rear wheel Quote
Nick M Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 Took my little daughter to the local supermarket yesterday, just strapped into the seat with the 4 point harness (didn't get over 25mph as it's only 2 minutes away before anyone moans at me ) Good news is she loved it !! "Faster daddy" was heard more than one !! Quote
Phssthpok Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I hope you mean the spare wheel NOT the Rear wheel So that's why the cops were so upset... Quote
westy Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Good news is she loved it !! "Faster daddy" was heard more than one !! 'I can't its only a 1.6' came the reply Quote
chrisbin Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 My son loves it in "Daddy's westy" - he's 2 1/2. Only thing is he insists on having the sidescreens on, and usually ends up going to sleep! I also use the 4 point harness - just have to remember to re-adjust it afterwards b4 taking anyone else out! Faster Daddy!.....Racing!.......Neeeowww! Quote
Nick M Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Westy, x loads !! I think Mr Boyce would confirm that, for a "mere" 1.6 it ain't at all slow !! again for good measure Quote
