andyfiggy2002
I have a megablade that revs to 12k. I'd love to do a track day at castle combe & the link below to their site site suggests i only have to rev to 4.5k to pass noise test, whats the catch? http://www.goliathres.com/v4....tyId=
pikeyboy
catch is, at 4.5K it might be too loud to be allowed out on the circuit.
RichB
Usually if its not a 'normal' engine (flame suit on), they will use either 2/3 or 3/4 max revs, so 8 or 9k in your case.
RobC
there was r1 engined striker there this weekend ... happily going round over taking everything... You can also go up the CC to have the car tested if you check with them before hand that the equipment is there... worth a trip before you shell out loads of cash
adhawkins
Just be aware that Combe (I think) have microphones around the track as well, so just because you get through the 'static' test, doesn't mean you won't be black flagged later. andyfiggy2002
4.5k on mine is 98DB, time to ring them I think
hoobahole
RobC, The Striker had two silencers fitted, with the exhaust exit through the rear panel. It was a lovely example - did you see the rear diffuser it had fitted. I am trying to establish whether it is a RAW, or aftermarket product. I want it Rog
