Pilot Pete Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I will fit them over the winter and do a before and after rolling road comparison. Then we shall see That wouldbe genuinly very interesting if you did find a difference on the rollers. You'd have to make sure both sets of carbs are in good servicable condition and tuned by the same bloke. Quote
Jenko Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Agree with Blatman........I was reading the thread and trying to work out why the DA's would be better than weber's....Can't see it myself, as both are VERY similar in operation......Surley the 'low airspeed and better fuel atomization' claim would apply to DA's of all sizes across all engines...thus making DA's better than webers....as far as I knew they are both much of a muchness.... Anyway, it's an interesting topic, and would be genuinly intresred to see the results....... Quote
stu999 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 ...thus making DA's better than webers....as far as I knew they are both much of a muchness.... Dellortos tend to be slightly better than Webers as far as driveability goes - and are *just about* the better choice for a 'road' engine. Not sure there will be any difference size for size with the loud pedal mashed into the bulkhead though Quote
BillyWhizzz2002 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 When i had my Dellorto's set up at Dave Boggs he said same. That the pinto has better driverbility on Dellorto's than webbers. Mind you he then tried to get me to change to bike carbs......lol old dave he is a charachter, knows his stuff tho. Quote
