dombanks Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 anyone listen to music whilst driving in their westy? how do you do it, cant really see where to put a radio and im not so sure on the safety of using an mp3 player. i know there is the question why would you want to but if i was going somewhere more than 20 mins, say stoneleigh then i know what im like i would want to just pondering whilst taking a break thats all Quote
zoso Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Mp3 player, especially at motorway speeds. With the buffeting I can't hear anything anyway so I don't think there is a saftey issue. In town I just pop one or both ears out so I can hear traffic. Quote
Tubs Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Driving locally the exhaust is music enough. On long journey's I'm wearing a helmet so I plug in my mp3. Tubs Quote
Pilot Pete Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I think if I was in the westy and listening to "muse - showbiz", I would quickly lose my license! Quote
scruffythefirst Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Got a set of shure in ear headphones that also double as earplugs. Means listening volumes are sensible, rather than cranking up the mp3 player untill my ears bleed so i can hear it over the wind noise. Quote
a4gom Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Now I have an aeroscreen fitted on long journeys with the lid on I listen to music on my phone via the head set, means I can answer the phone as well if it rings. shorter journeys or longer journeys just cruising through the countryside at a snails pace on my own I wear some peltor ear defenders built in fm radio and 3.5mm audio input for mp3 player, with splitter adjustment so you can alter the % of outside to % of music. Top notch! When I used to have my screen on i used these all the time. Quote
