RS WST Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Decided to set up a new thread about my engine from the Saab thread Engine is almost finished Just need the turbo and then its going on the engine dyno. I'm NOT putting this back into the Westy as it will be way too much for it. Ive found another use for the Zetec in a project for later in the year. Top secret for the moment put it will be something a bit different and rear engined. As for the westy, its almost done and will be running a 2.2 all alloy 5 cylinder Volvo engine on throttle bodies Power is expected to be circa 320bhp, and rev to 9'000 rpm plus Engine will be similar to this put better For the first time I've decided to go nasp, hopefully i wont be disappointed, will set up a separate post for that engine as and when things happen, its about 50% there at the moment and taking shape nicely. This is how the last engine looked last year As for the Zetec here are the specs of the new engine Spec is as follows Head ST170 head, gasflowed and extensively ported with 3 angle valve seats. (flows 183.1 cfm inlet at 10" water) Ferrea Custom 31mm Numonic exhaust valves with single groove stems (28mm standard) Ferrea 34.5mm 214N inlet valves with single groove stems(33.5mm standard) Variable intake timing selenoid removed and blanked Piper Double valves springs for K series with custom spring platforms Ferrea titanium retainers for a Mazda 626 Ferrea collets for Nissan Skyline Trojan Valve guides custom made by TTV Vauxhall XE valve stem oil seals Magnetti Marrelli Coil on Plug system Denso spark plugs Hollow Billet Cat Cams custom ground, aggresive profile Bottom end Focus WRC Compacted Graphite Iron Block from Cosworth bored to 86mm Pro Gram Billet main caps 1045 steel ARP bolts throughout Kolben Schmidt sputter bearings, main and big end CP forged pistons low comp custom made to my spec H Section Forged Steel con rods, for and Audi 1.8T (144mm) Farndon 80mm stroke custom crank (standard is 88mm) Cosworth Focus WRC water pump Pace 3 stage dry sump system with custom pump Engine is 1858 cc and has a rod ratio of 1.8 I will rev it to 9000rpm hopefully Boost 321 stainless steel 1.5" custom exhaust manifold Forced Performance GT3076HTA turbo (flows 57lb) 44mm Tial wastegate 50mm Tial Dump Valve PWR Chargecooler 6"x 8" Pro Alloy 12" x 18" chargecooler Rad Bosch High Flow pump Inlet 70mm Jenvey Throttle body 4 x 750cc Seimens injectors (3 bar) Fuelab fuel pressure reg Inlet system from Jenvey using off the shelf parts Custom Plenum and base plate Bosch 044 fuel pump Quote

RS WST Posted May 31, 2008 Author Posted May 31, 2008 I'm usine a 77mm 2.0l crank and 152mm long rods with custom pistons and a 2.5 block Best of both worlds to give a 2.2 Quote
