boris77 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I've been trying to find out some information about the engine in my westy. Its got a 2.0 pinto with FR32 cam (supplied by westfield). The previous owner mentioned that it had a stage one modified head, what does this mean? A quick scan on the internet shows it might of been shown a grinder to tidy up the ports. Anything else? Is there any good way of identifying whats been done to it? Somewhere in the back of my mind I swear Vulcan was mentioned but I cant find any details to back that up (although there is a V marked on the head). Thanks. Quote
DIY Si Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Stage 1 is very minor mods. Probably just removed the casting ridges from the throats and that kind of thing. I once wrote a slightly lengthy reply about what all the different tunings phrases are. edited to add link edited again to say you might be able to tell more if you can see down the inlets with a torch. This will only help if you know what the standard head looks like though. Quote
