neo Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 i'm setting the picture her i have had a love for fast/flash cars since i have been able to drive, i work where there is 1000 staff who all know me and my daft life of cars.the odd ones copy my ideas which does my head in,i like to be different you see. i went into work on friday and a friend says i "I SEE MICK HAS THE SAME CAR AS YOU" i said your joking but all was not lost as he won't have a westy (thinking he ment my C class merc) only for him to say oh yes he has its a westy he's bought, so with my tail between my legs and chomping at the bit i went to find mick and his car, around work all friday its been a common joke that we have the same car etc etc,but here's the twist in the tale i seen mick in his car on saturday morning as he called round to show me it and guess what ITS A F***ING ROBIN HOOD phew not a westfield thank christ for that but the biggest job in hand is to set the record straight to all the other 998 staff that westys and robin hoods are not the same and never will be Quote
Stueyboy Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 I feel your pain... ...someone new at work saw mine the other day and said "...ooh is that your Robin Hood out there?" Words cannot describe the following 30 second rant... Quote
Phssthpok Posted August 18, 2002 Posted August 18, 2002 Be fair lads, if it wasn't for Robin Ho*ds, Lada owners wouldn't have anyone to look down on. Quote
Phssthpok Posted August 18, 2002 Posted August 18, 2002 ... At work, the medical students refer too me as the guy with the small green one… Quote
Martin Young Posted August 18, 2002 Posted August 18, 2002 One of the architects at my work referred to mine as a ' beach buggy' and asked if it was powered by a VW beetle engine. A bloke at the petrol station the other day walked up to me and asked "Did you built your Dutton yourself ?" To be fair my car is well known around the suburbs of Edinburgh. I don't drive fast or recklessly around town (although throttle blips on the downchange are, of course, necessary !! but the thing stands out a mile from other cars on the road and that includes elises, 911's and other exotica. All the Best. Martin. Quote
