About a week ago my digi camera developed a fault. When you view a photo after taking it, it has white wavy edged border and then a purple ring around the photo content. I have uploaded them to the computer and they are the same on there aswell. Has anyone experienced or heard of this before, and does it mean the CCD is failing?

When I can remember how to add a photo to my post I will put one up. :durr:  :durr:

Cheers

I will ask the outlaws, they have a camera business.

It is a Fuji Finepix F700 and is just over 3 years old. There was no gradual onset, it just suddenly happened.

Should have the photos up soon, as I am reading the idiots guide

Checked all the settings and they were fine. Did a reset for good measure and it still has the same problem.

I think you should just limit yourself to taking pictures of people in love.....

Go to the FAQ section, it's all in there.

Or do a search on Andy Hawkins posts (there's plenty of them) and follow his 'gentlyhosting' link  :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

Nice photo by the way

That does look like some kind of cheesey effect as oppose to a fault but I nars feck all

I'd email Fuji, David. It certainly doesn't look like a fault as such and there must be a way to switch it off.

Edited to add:

Fuji forum read this - it looks like it IS a problem.  :(

Good find MOTCO .........I have also had some of the green and purple streaked photos, so it lloks like I need to start a new post on what cameras people can recommend.
