david.c Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 About a week ago my digi camera developed a fault. When you view a photo after taking it, it has white wavy edged border and then a purple ring around the photo content. I have uploaded them to the computer and they are the same on there aswell. Has anyone experienced or heard of this before, and does it mean the CCD is failing? When I can remember how to add a photo to my post I will put one up. Cheers David Quote
cast iron Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Whats the make and model and age of the camera I will ask the outlaws, they have a camera business. Quote
david.c Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 It is a Fuji Finepix F700 and is just over 3 years old. There was no gradual onset, it just suddenly happened. Should have the photos up soon, as I am reading the idiots guide David Quote

*Emma* Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I think you should just limit yourself to taking pictures of people in love..... Sorry, I know that doesn't help. Quote

david.c Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Go to the FAQ section, it's all in there. Or do a search on Andy Hawkins posts (there's plenty of them) and follow his 'gentlyhosting' link Nice photo by the way David Quote
slippy Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 That does look like some kind of cheesey effect as oppose to a fault but I nars feck all Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 I'd email Fuji, David. It certainly doesn't look like a fault as such and there must be a way to switch it off. Edited to add: Fuji forum read this - it looks like it IS a problem. Quote
david.c Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 Good find MOTCO .........I have also had some of the green and purple streaked photos, so it lloks like I need to start a new post on what cameras people can recommend. David Quote
